Daily Tasks/Shared Living support funds assistance with, or supervision of, everyday tasks for participants living in a shared household, whether that's shared accommodation with other NDIS participants, or living with family or housemates. The focus is on building each person's ability to live as independently as possible within that household. Brighter Support Care delivers this support across Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich and the Gold Coast.
It's worth being clear on the difference here. Daily Tasks/Shared Living supports everyday tasks within an existing shared living arrangement. If a participant needs a formal Supported Independent Living arrangement, meaning ongoing, often 24-hour supported accommodation, that sits under a separate and larger NDIS funding category. We can talk through your plan to work out which applies.
Shared households run on routine, and support works best when the same worker knows the household, the other people in it, and how things usually run. We aim to keep support workers consistent so participants aren't re-explaining their routine every visit. Our teams support participants in shared households across all four regions, working alongside housemates and families to keep daily life running smoothly while building each participant's own skills and confidence.
What to expect: We start by getting to know your household's existing routine, who does what, and where extra support is genuinely needed, rather than assuming a standard approach will fit.
Brighter Support Care support workers get to know each household they work in, not just the individual participant, which matters in shared living arrangements. We deliver this support across Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich and the Gold Coast as a registered NDIS provider (registration 405 353 9351).
